In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make perfect sushi rice for the base of your Chirashi bowl (scattered sushi over rice). We’ll prepare a variety of sashimi and colorful toppings, then guide you through arranging them beautifully over warm, seasoned sushi rice!

In this class, we use various types of donabe cookware to make a range of simple, delicious dishes.
We'll explore some fundamentals of donabe cooking, starting with dashi – an umami-rich broth that's a staple in Japanese cooking. From there, we'll make a miso hot pot, where fresh vegetables and protein of choice simmer in a fragrant broth.
We'll master the art of perfectly cooked rice and make a seasonal vegetable dish and a refreshing spicy crunchy cucumber salad!
After the cooking is done, we’ll sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor all together. Save room for dessert!

In this Japanese-inspired autumnal cooking class, we'll explore the versatility of donabe cookware to create cozy fall dishes that are great for holidays, fall dinner parties, or just healthy meals at home!

This class is a unique culinary experience that teaches you how to prepare and enjoy shabu shabu, a traditional Japanese hot pot dish that typically consists of thinly sliced meat, various vegetables, tofu, and noodles, all cooked in a simmering broth at the dining table.
I'll demonstrate how to prepare the broth and sauces, how to shop for specific cuts of meat and seafood, and how to beautifully present it all at the table.
You will be able to customize your dish by choosing from a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables, and cook it in simmering broth right at the table.

Explore the art of cooking with classes that are fun, informative, and easy-to-follow. Some classes are Japanese-inspired, focusing on the techniques of cooking with ceramic donabe cookware, while others explore a wide range of cuisines, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Class Details:
Location: Classes are held at my home in West Hollywood, CA. (Address provided upon sign-up). I set up off-site as well for private/custom classes.
Group Size: Up to 10 participants (larger groups can be accommodated for special events).
Cost: Classes start at $150 per person.
Custom Classes: Organize a private group session, and we'll collaborate on a menu that excites your group.
